Very pretty! Where in the world do you order these from? Or are you traveling and getting them?

Xena: Got the Mexican material years ago from a dentist friend who did work in Mexico and bought or swapped agate for services in his free time. If you can believe it, I paid 50 cents to $1.00 a pound for that stuff. Wish I had bought tons! I met the man who collects the Condor Agate a couple of times at Quartzite and another show and bought several lots of his agate. Tends to sometimes be a bit fractured but the agate is well worth the cost if you nail down some good nodules. Have to learn how to pick the good ones as it costs about $10 per pound so you don't want a lot of duds!...mel

Mel, Dangit..I'm running out of napkins, paper towels, and toilet paper to wipe the drool puddles. I guess it's time to drag the beach towels out! Thanks for sharing! Is it difficult to find whole nodules anymore? I'd love to get a few just to have the suprise when I cut through it. Steve

Spectacular, as always! Did you notice that you have Casper the Friendly Ghost trapped in the agate-half on the right-hand side, second-to-last picture?

Rollingstone: I seeit now! Always viewed them as a pair of lanterns before.
Steve: If you can run across the seller from Argentina ( usually at the larger shows like Quartzite-- think he calls his business St Paul gems) he has lots of complete nodules. Go for the smaller ones in the 3" range as these are usually the best. I think the Gem Shop just about has a monopoly on the Chihuahua agate sites now and the price has gone out of my buying range. Most people I've seen selling good Chihuahua nodules have it priced at $15-25 per pound. That's way to rich for my blood as you can expect quite a few duds in this material.

As the Condor flies and is watching from overhead down below, he salivates as he sees his namesake in all its wonder, and beauty for all to behold. Sabre52, you have made this majestic bird very happy by showing such beautiful creations.
