Theae are the rocks we collected from our trip to Arizona and Nevada. The pet wood is from the St. Johns area and the black lava is from the AZ/NM state line area. The Apache tears is a full 5 gallons.... photobucket.com/albums/v493/phoenix1647/Arizona%20and%20Nevada%20trip/The pics do not realy show the great colors in some of the rocks but they are there and look wonderful Will be slabbing some and tumbling some and the wife is picking some for her rock garden. Enjoy.. Pho

Nice find Pho!!
If you wet the rocks before taking the pic's a lot of the color will show.
A lot of rockhounds take a spray bottle collecting to see if they have akeeper or a leaverite!
Thanks,,,,,,,,,

Dang you got some really nice stuff. A five gallon bucket of tears, how long did it take you to gather them up? That pet wood is great and a nice chunk of obsidian too, you going to try knapping?

That's quite a bit of rock there! A very successful trip! I'll bet your backs were sore after collecting a 5 Gallon Bucket of Apaches'...that's a heck of alot of bending over! Thanks for sharing your finds. Steve

To be honest...my sister gave me the Apache Tears. She got them from a friend who lives in AZ somewhere. I told her if her friend as more tears I'd be intrested in getting them or if she would allow me to visit her place I'd collect them myself.
