Hi everyone, I put a new load of tumble into my Thumbler on 12/20/21 using coarse grit. On the 24th (merry christmas to me!) I broke my leg! On January 5th, I had surgery with a plate and screws. I am forbidden to put any weight on the leg for at least 6 weeks. What should I do? Should I just let it continue to tumble until I am able to walk again, or should I just unplug it and wait until I'm able to live my life again? I'm kind of hoping that I will only need to just let it run for the next 6 to 10 weeks and when I'm released to use my leg, all I will have to do is rinse and polish. ? Any advice for me? I appreciate any direction you can send me. Terri Coffey RocksologyDesigns

Most is Jasper and agate. I guess worse case scenario will be I will have a lot more coarse sand to use!

No prob letting it run for a few months. Recharge will probably still require coarse grit at that point.
Good luck on your recovery.

I don't tumble, so I have no advice for you there. Just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery!

I concur with the other answers already given...just wanted to say I hope for a speedy and complete recovery for you! *Just a thought...you might want to ask Santa for a better present next year...or is this what happens when you're on the naughty list!

Heal quickly. Yes, the rocks should be fine. If possible, I would make sure the tumbler is working properly about once a week. Now would not be the time for a blow-out and leaking.

jimmie Let-em ride. They’ll still be there when you recover. They might look semi-polished when you get to them. If you unplug the tumbler, the whole load might harden. As long as they’re rolling you should be okay. If someone can look at them occasionally to make sure the barrel isn’t bulging. That’s the only thing I would be worried about, but with agate and jasper the tumbler should be fine. I would give you a different answer if the load was obsidian or glass. I hope you heal up quick. It will be nice to see pictures of the progress. Later.
