I haven't worked with copper in a long time. I tell ya, I don't miss doing the patina! Each of these has issues to my eye, but they'll do. I see every flaw! And, so does the camera.
I used my cell phone and a copy stand made for cell phones along with tiny LED lights and tiny tripods. I have reduced my photography footprint. I'm still learning the camera- it is almost like learning the DSL- there are so many functions.
Moroccan orbicular agate- I see the bail is out of focus for some reason.
Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper Everything that could go wrong with this did. This is the best picture that I have ever gotten of MHPJ. The camera loved it!
Some kind of picture jasper that I really like. The polish isn't like an Owyhee, but it has a nice scene. For this picture and above, I used the "food" function which creates a vignette. I think it helps make the subject pop.
Thanks for looking.

Tela, thanks for posting these! Of the wraps themselves, I really like what you did with the MHPJ! I like the way the front wire curls to the backside to secure the top of the stone! Of the stones themselves, I love the scene in that picture jasper. Of the pictures themselves, the camera did love that MHPJ! I also like how crimped you got the "prongs" on the picture jasper wrap. I haven't been able to crimp mine that cleanly...yet.

For me, it's getting them in the right spot that is a challenge.

LOL I measure the distance...then re-measure...then mark it with a mechanical pencil...then measure it again...then check my mark...then make the prong...then find out it's off about a millimeter! LOL

Love the cabs and the wraps, Tela. I haven't used copper wire in a long time, just a personal preference thing, I think. But your wraps make me re-think copper, they look great! And about prongs- I tried doing them a couple of times and failed so miserably I haven't since. One of these days when I have a little more patience I'll try them again- they really look good.

I knew a guy on Etsy that I talked to who had the most absolutely perfect prongs. Real small, real tight and perfectly placed. I always meant to ask him how he did it.

I love your economy of design, and how each wrap compliments its cab so well.
