Wow, these are really awesome! I love how it looks like a ton of time/work went into the wraps, but the stone is still the center of the show!

But these took longer- plus I feel a little rusty. My philosophy is that if you don't notice the stone first, then I have failed.

Beautiful examples of great wraps! They are clean and simple with the stone the focus.

Great stones and the wraps are always exciting and appropriate fit for the stones.

I guess I should have asked about the lighting as well. I didn't realize they didn't come with the stand. Do you mind sharing some photos of how you use the stuff all together. It's okay if the phone is not shown on the stand.

I can get a picture next time I have it out and set up.

That would be great. I'm having a hard time envisioning the use of the lights and what they're mounted to. ETA: I just read the questions on the listing for the lights. Looks like the lights will accept the screw from the tripod. Is that correct?

Nice wraps Tela, it's always a pleasure to see your work. As someone who's only ever used copper wire I wonder if there are noticeable differences when wrapping with copper compared to silver? Any specific advantages to one or the other that stood out to you when working with copper again?

Honestly, the biggest reason for me is psychological. I have a lot more freedom when I use copper. I am MUCH more willing to take risks. I mean, I do with silver, too, but I am much more liable to do it with copper. Also, I am very aware of how it will look once it has a patina. I often design with bindings in mind. Copper is softer, too, but that doesn't influence me either way. The workability is a bit different. And, there isn't a lot of variability of copper wire choices. I just ordered some yesterday that I hadn't seen before.

Those are nice wraps that really showcase the cabs without being distracting. I would never have thought to use copper with MHPJ, but yours doesn't look half bad. You are getting good at using your cell camera. I bet you now understand why me and many others who have DSRLs nevertheless use the cell camera almost all of the time for rocks. It takes good enough photos and is extremely convenient. Also, the digital processing has gotten very good, as is clear from you "food mode" photos.

Outstanding in all aspects: Stone, wrap and photo. I especially liked the way you held in the stone in the MHPJ at the top, just elegant.

Yeah, I never would have thought my cell phone would be better than my dslr. rockjunquie gorgeous wraps! I know it's a PITA but that patina is beautiful. Thanks! Using LOS is stinky, messy and involved, but, the results are so nice. Outstanding in all aspects: Stone, wrap and photo. I especially liked the way you held in the stone in the MHPJ at the top, just elegant. Thanks! I had a time with that one, but it turned out OK.
