Wow, that's beautiful!

Bill, that's a definite stunner! Good choice on posting the video which shows what a pic wouldn't be able to capture as well.

Finally got around to setting it. It is a hefty piece. Silver alone weighed in at 15 grams! I have another nice piece that I'm torn between backing with turquoise or red jasper.

Nice man's ring (that's what I'm assuming anyway because of the weight).

I didn't want to be the first one to say it, but I too see this as a masculine ring. I really like this one brotherbill!

hummingbirdstones jasoninsd Based on the feedback I've received it could be a unisex ring however being a size 11 probably rules out most women.
I have a small shard of the material with nice rutile remaining. At some point I will make a more feminine model. My dilemma is what to use for the backing. Hyacinth jasper, rhodonite, block turquoise....

You can also use colored glass for the back of the cab. Some of the colored transparent glass is really nice behind rutilated quartz. This is just an example. They used to sell these at pet stores for aquariums. Don't know if they still do.

Alright IDK how I ever missed the first post, but I am so glad you posted the ring so I saw them both, Bill. Your work is amazing. Thank you for the update!

rocknrob: That was one heck of a windstorm that thankfully missed me. I guess Seatac almost hit 60mph gusts. I bet those were some fun landings
