These videos show the progression of a the grit (120/220 size) in a vibe tumble (I use a UV-18 tumbler). This shows how much to fill the tumbler, the combination of materials, and the proper rotation of the cycle. After four hours, all you can see is the color of the grit that has coated everything. Video after starting the tumble: Video after 4 hours:

Wow, that think really churns the rocks as compared to my Lot-O tumblers. It looks and sounds much more aggressive, but must actually be quite gentle based on the nice cabs that you post.

Halojonthan, it is very important to have the correct fill, proportion, and movement so there is no banging of the material. I use plenty of media, check movement, and add more small media as necessary to keep the motion seen in the videos.

That is incredibly smooth, fast motion in that vibe! My Lot-O only wishes it could move rocks like that.

Thanks for the videos. I, too, am envious of that tumbler action.

Victor thanks for taking and posting these videos. They're great tools for people questioning the proper action in a vibe tumbler! I'm taking this as a "nudge" to get my UV-18 back in operation!
