I have a 10" tile saw and would like a lapidary blade for it. RPMs are rated at 4,000 so most blades I've found are rated for half that or less.
I've looked at the MK Hotdog blades and see mixed reviews. Taking them with a grain of salt since I don't know what exactly they are cutting, how etc etc.
Recommendations would be appreciated.

What are you cutting and what are the manufactures recommendations? Is 4000RPM the top Speed?

That's top speed with no load yes.
Recommendations are not to use a segmented blade. Continuous only pretty much.
Cutting jaspers, agates, quartz/quartzite, coprolite etc etc

I have used the Ridgid blade that came with my saw, a $35 QEP blade, and a $90 MK Agate Cutter blade (BD-305); honestly, I don't see much difference between them. The Agate Cutter blade might seem to perform slightly better on the thick cuts; however, this difference is pretty small and may just be some sort of mental bias (got to justify the price I spent 😉). All of them need frequent 'sharpening' with a dressing stone to keep the cuts going on the thicker rocks, at least for me. Sharpening is usually not as necessary on the smaller cuts and trims.

The BD-305 and the Hotdog MK-225 tile blade are the same blade, according to a tucson dealer I spoke with recently. Tile blade costs less.

Cool. I know I'm going to need to replace the factory one eventually. Would prefer a decent/good blade once over a crappy one every few months if I possible.

I picked up a QEP Gold tile blade from Amazon. Damn thing will cut everything I throw at it. Half the price or more LESS than typical for tile blades and I slightly thinner cut.
Picked up a QEP Black Widow 10" to try out and a QEP Gold 7" for my small saw.
At this point, the HotDog blade would have to be a freaking superhero blade to get me to switch. Still want to try it out but not in any hurry now.

I have a 7" hotdog blade (got it on close out for like $15) and it cuts great, but not any better or worse than cheaper blades. Only thing I will say is that it seems to be lasting longer than my usual blade of choice (the Home Depot workforce blade)
