It's official. My wife shut down my Thumler AR-2. It was squeaking so loud (it was coming from the bearing next to the drive shaft). I tried everything, wd 40, Vaseline and cleaning. It would be good for a day or two then start squeaking again. She put up with it for about a week before she said you need to fix it or SHUT IT DOWN (In an English accent. lol). I have ordered some parts and waiting to start up again. Luckily, I have a single tumbler going in the meantime.

Lol! At least she didnโt toss it out the window๐ I have the tumbler in the garage, and we could hear it upstairs.

I'm sorry to hear that. My Lortone 33b was like that. Are the barrels rubbing against the ends of the shafts? If so, oil them where they contact. I use 3-in-1 brand oil. It works great for tumblers. Hope that helps!

Hope that helps! Thanks for the tip. My new 33B just started squeaking after Day 4 and squirting a bit og oil at each shaft end took the squeak away. Let's hope I don't need to do this often. Thanks again!!

I have 2 AR-2's and never had this issue. Is the motor squeaking or is it the barrel shaft?

If you have oiled all the bearings it could be belt noise. My Dad used bar soap and let fan belts rub on it to reduce noise. Just a guess.
