I bought a used 15 pound Thumbler B that some guy put a 1/4 Pond motor on. Motor stopped within an hour, ugg. Have a new motor (low speed black motor) from the rockshed, new drive shafts, and belt. Thought I was ready to roll a big load for the first time. Nope 7 pounds is the most it will pull, very very slowly. That fills up like 1/3 the barrel. Help!! Any advice??

I had the same issue when I got my (small) 4lb tumbler. Are the bearings oiled? If not, that is almost certainly the issue. Good luck and I hope that helps! Also, welcome to the forum.

2 of the Thumlers tumblers I picked up off of eBay have motors that died on me.
Are you sure you got the right replacement motor?

Very common on thumblers for the belt to slip, motor is running but belt is slipping. ?

Everything has oil, and the belt seems fine. You can hear the motor running, but it just wont pull the weight. The motor is a low RPM from rockshed, and said it would replace the thumblers B motor. Its black, and the only thing I can think is that the motor is in photo is red?? That one is sold out

You can hear the motor running…. If it’s not able to power the tumbler it will just hum and the motor will get hot. Is the motor shaft not turning at all?
