Had time for two. Still trying out different materials. Believe this was some from roy and not really sure what kind. I loved the patterns on the first but it turned out to be a little more challenging to take a polish. Second one was a bugger, kept hitting pits the further I went. Called it good. A lot softer and varying hardnesses than I'm used to so was a nice challenge. Another of this one in the sun

Pretty cabs! The first one is Pilbara jasper from Australia. The second one is some type of copper complex.

Pretty cabs! The first one is Pilbara jasper from Australia. The second one is some type of copper complex. Cool! Thanks for the ID. The small slab had a lot of cool stuff happening and was hard to decide what shape to make but the fractures decided for me at the end of the day.

Those are both awesome! I love Pilbara and that's a nice one. You got a pretty good polish for the material.

Those are absolutely gorgeous! Great work on both of those. That Pilbara Jasper is so busy! That one is fantastic! "... was hard to decide what shape to make but the fractures decided for me at the end of the day" - SO VERY TRUE!

That Pilbara jasper is really something. It looks a bit like a Jackson Pollock painting (but better).
I commend you for even trying to cab the copper rock. I never have any luck with rocks that look like that. Yours looks better than most of my attempts. I guess the uneven hardness is just the price you pay for those colors.

Yeah it kept getting smaller and smaller because of trying to grind through the pitting until I just went with it. The surface has quite a bit of texture to it as it was the first time trying this stuff.
