Got the pix now. You won't be certain of the fire until you get to working those agates of course, but even if the fire doesn't pan out, it looks like you've got yourself a great batch of nicely banded agates.

Cher, the area is about 60 miles west of Phoenix. If she's interested I can give you complete directions, it's not hard to find the area.
James, have you ever tried tumbling chalcedony roses?

Is that what those are called? Pretty cool, they do kind of look like little roses. Thanks Puppie, I'll ask her but that's the opposite direction of where she's going.

puppie you are going to have to keep us posted on this batch. those are some gnarly looking stones going in but i bet they are going to be fantastic in the end.

So James, what did you do with them, did you keep them in rough grind until they were rounded? Seems like there wouldn't be much left! And how about the "fire" part? I'm afraid if there's any in there I might tumble it away. Do you have any photos of yours? Thanks!
