Just finished these. More copper... I guess you can tell I like it.
No camera can capture what's going on in this stone. This Australian Prase is almost hypnotic. The green streamers in the clear agate (chalcedony?) seem to undulate in an ocean current like seaweed. The color is off on this. The actual intensity of the green is almost like Maw Sit Sit. I LOVE this color!
This dino bone is a little more red and less brick in person. Still figuring out my camera, but getting better.

I have never seen Australian Prase before. It is amazing. Does anyone see a deer with lots of antlers in it?

Nice reminder that the artist makes the wrap, not the wire. Love how you keep your wire so unobtrusive, the first one in particular looks more like a fancy setting than a wrap. Super duper.

Nice! The Prase is gorgeous! The color looks blue-green to me on my monitor, which I love.

I do see see it!

Wow, thanks! Nice! The Prase is gorgeous! The color looks blue-green to me on my monitor, which I love. It may be a blue green. I have trouble with some blues and greens. I'm not colorblind per se, but I do have trouble. To me, it is a very vibrant green. Two gorgeous cabs and two elegant wraps! That first one is absolutely mesmerizing! Thank you, Jason.

The combination of the copper and the green is fantastic! As is the craftsmanship that went into them.

The combination of the copper and the green is fantastic! As is the craftsmanship that went into them. Thank you! I wrapped exclusively in copper for about 5 years and I found that most cabs went pretty well with it. I think it's the patina that I like so much on copper. Silver patina really doesn't do it for me and I rarely did it.

Many years back we got a copper mailbox for our house and I looked into options for jumpstarting the patina and was amazed to see all of the colors that you can get out of it. In the end, I let it patina naturally and it developed some beautiful red and green tones. I hated to leave the mailbox behind when we moved. Silver patina can be beautiful, too, but it also seems to be more finicky than copper. I have silver-cased watch that developed a lovely patina with blues and purples. I used to polish it to keep it shiny, but stopped doing so once that patina formed.

I've seen coins with nice silver rainbow patinas and they are beautiful!

Here are a couple of sculpted wraps that I used patina recipes on. Not sure I remember which ones. The blue apatite has a lot left on it and the pink gel rhodochrosite one doesn't.

Those are beautiful, rockjunquie! I like how the patina in the apatite wrap picks up the same colors as the stone. The design of those wraps are fantastic!

The Australian Prase is top notch material. You wisely made the wrap almost disappear around the edges of the cab, so all the attention is on the stone itself, where is belongs. And the bail mirrors the shape of the cab. Nice.
