OK - the stone here is the "bookmatch" piece to a pendant Robin made about eight years ago. The face of the pendant mirrors the back of this one.
This piece also had a crack in one corner. I'm working to cut something decent from it. I'll leave it to you folks to decide if it's worth the extra work.
There's a bit of pink in with the green at the top I wanted to preserve. Didn't want to cut it into two smaller cabs so this is it so far. It's only got a quick 600 grit surface for the photos, and obviously needs more fine tuning on the shape and dome, so it's far from finished.

Oh...I think this one was definitely worth the save. You did a fantastic job on the reshaping of that one!

That is an elegant shape and very attractive material. I don't know whether you deserve more praise for the cab or for keeping track of a specific piece of rock for 8 years. I often loose track of them in 8 days.

holajonathan - this one was just "lost" for eight years. Out of sight in the bottom of a cold-cut tub of pieces.
Was looking for some small slab pieces to put in a box, and only ID'd it because the pattern on the back matched Robin's pendant.
Robin and I both liked this material as soon as we saw some in person. We got some rough back then from a couple who moved here from St. Johns. They joined the club, but never came to any meetings - but they set up a sale "by appointment only" for club members. We were third in line.
Last year there was - unfortunately - an estate rock sale because the husband had died. That's where I dug out the pieces to make up the four boxes.
rockjunquie , jasoninsd , NDK - I'm glad you also liked the recut. I still have difficulty cutting away some types of rough. This one made me do it.
