I got the old camera working and got some pics of the cabs I've been working on lately. The quality isn't great, but these came out better than the ones I took with my "good" camera! This is picture jasper from a slab I bought recently Swazi Bloodstone on the left (thanks to Kim), and Picaso on the right. Multi-Color Rainbow Jasper, thanks again to Kim! Lookout Point jasper Carnelian, and Graveyard Point Agate. Guess which is Graveyard! Rhodonite Labradorite Variscite And Kim, correct me if I'm wrong on this one, I lost the tag! Botswana Agate??? This new flat lap cabber is really working out well, I am learning quite a bit and quickly. And having a blast to boot. Thanks for letting me show off!! Fatty

Wow Rich you are doing really good, I can't believe you just got started on these. Great shapes, love the graveyard, that's too funny. I think my favorite has to be the Rhodonite, that's just beautiful. Isn't that rainbow jasper fun, I love the colors in that too. Great job, I am impressed!!

Nice! I believe the first one is Biggs jasper. KD would probably be able to tell if it is or isn't

That last one looks kinda like a Montana agate (I'm color blind so I'm probably wrong) lol, doesn't look like a Botswana though

Awesome cabs you've done. Thanks for sharing them. Variscite is green so I think those 2 were mislabled.
Keep them picts coming.

Awesome cabs you've done. Thanks for sharing them. Variscite is green so I think those 2 were mislabled. Keep them picts coming. Gaetz This is Variscite from Nevada, I got it from Chris Rose who owns the mine. The pictures don't show the mint green color very well. Sorry... my cameras are lacking! I tried scanning, but the color still washes out! This material is not as dark green as some I've seen from Utah, but the Nevada this seems to have a more distinct spiderweb pattern.

I'm sorry that your camera is having issues, I'd love to see your rocks in all their glory. I think variscite is such a cool and mysterious stone. Do you get to work with it much?

The cabs are all nicely done. I especially like the lookout point jasper ; real substantial piece with a captivating look to it.

This pic shows the color on the Variscite a little bit better than the first one did.

Richie, That Variscite almost looks like it has some Pyrite in it. That picture is better though. Steve
