Finally got a load from the 12 pounder. Here's a few of the agates. Hope you liked them, and thank you for looking. Condor

Gil-
I love the variety in that load. I think I can spy a few pieces of petrified wood in there. Do you find a lot of wood down there in your neck of the woods? Good polished finish!

Condor, Nice assortment and shine...Did you collect the rock yourself?

Thanks for the compliments. I collected the petrified wood myself as well as the chalcedony, and the dendritic agates. They're not found close by, but every so often I go to the Big Bend area (about 250 miles from where I live), where a couple of ranchers let me collect all I want for a small fee. I bought the rest. The big one at the top is an agate nodule that I also bought.

Condor,
Very, very nice! Such a wonderful shine!
I have a batch of agates in my tumbler right now & I hope they turn out as pretty as yours! Which polish did you end up using?

Pebbles,
At first I went with Aluminum Oxide, but it wasn't working too well. I then added a couple of tablespoons of Cerium Oxide. After that, and when I washed them off, I put them back in for about three hours with some Dreft soap.

RR,
The smaller red ones are Queensland Agates which come from Australia. I bought them at a rock show in Deming, New Mexico.
