Well you really didn't expect me to wait very long without giving it a try did you? ;D I thought I showed great restraint! I didn't even plan on cutting them today but when I went down to the basement there they were, jumping up and down in the folgers can hollering ME ME ME ME ME!! These were a couple that jumped into my pocket last summer down by my Dad's cabin. You know, that saw makes for a pretty good grinder for little bits and pieces. Took the rind off of one piece that had some pits in it, slicker than snot on a doorknob. Thanks for looking!! Cher

Cher-
Those are nice, very nice. Good to hear and see you're having fun instead of hibernating.

Hey Cher, atagirl! That's the way Lake Superior Agates were meant to be done. They are definitely a very dramatic rock.

Sorry I didn't have anything for scale in there. The round ones are the size of a nickel so you can judge the others from that.

So you're doin' a little grindin' on that saw, huh? Not that different from an upside down skil saw, except for the water.
And nice cutting on the aggies, Cher.

LOL @ Laura *smile* Thanks all, I really psyched about these, can't wait to get them in a barrel. It's too bad that the red/white banding seems to be so few and far between, so it's very exciting to find them. I'm not done digging through the stuff my son gave me last year for Christmas, so maybe will find a couple more. I was trying to dig yesterday while I was cutting but with the water dripping off my rain poncho was making a mess all over. *giggle* Not that I really cared, I was having too much fun.

good look'n cut job and you picked a winner to cut. Now that you have the saw, are you still going to wack your rocks?

Only if I have to break them down to get to a manageable size. And maybe to have some stuff to run with the slabs so they tumble good. Mostly it'll be cut though, it's just fun!!
