Bit of mixed results on the cabbing front this weekend but any day cabbing is a good day in my book. Had a tough time on the sides of this one... Which is why I'm only showing the front of it :-)   Gotta get a lot of light on this little guy to see the cool moss. Looks pretty dark otherwise.  This one was super soft. Kept clipping a corner and finally settled on the mostly-oval shape below. Wasn't sure it would take a polish but it came through on the leather disc. The middle has a little yellow in it and looks a little like a sunset on a winter day.  Second try. I'm 0 for 2 on this stuff. Broke when trying to release it from the dop.  All I can see is a brown boot in the middle.  |

Thanks! I believe that yellow one is a piece of ocean jasper. The rest of the slab had nice oranges and reds but this is a leftover piece that was solid yellow. Oldschoolrocker sent that to me a year ago and I really have enjoyed it. I like the shape. The yellow had a little more pitting so next time I might try filling or something. |

The boot cab is awesome! The rest of the cabs are really pretty, too.  Too bad about the millefiori. Maybe you should try just popping it in a jar of denatured alcohol and letting the wax dissolve when you're finished. |

I love 'em! I've just cut some preforms using that shape you have on the Mexican Lace...and I've been using that shape on the OJ quite a bit lately. I really like that shape on the OJ in particular. I like how you positioned the moss in that cab in relation to the shape! Bummer on the Millefiori. I like how those flowers "bend" around the bottom portion of the cab! I 100% love that brown boot! There's no way you can't see that in the cab!  |

Actually, the whole boot and leg remind me of those old '70's Keep on Truckin' patches we had plastered on everything. |
