First off THANKS to Rockjunquie for doing this . These are my first attempt at sphere making and 1,2,and 4 need finishing . Other than the Obsidian all the rock was collected by my wife and i over the last 10 or 12 yrs

It is a mixture of stuff from the McCracken mine and some of the white appearing is actually Amythest that is a pale lavender

Great balls of fire! Those are some great looking spheres vwfence! They all look really cool, but the last one and the second to last one really stand out!

Those are beautiful vwfence Wayne! The ones that aren't finished yet are going to be stunning. #4 is my favorite. I love copper complex and that one looks like it has native copper in it which is really hard to find nowadays. I'm looking forward to seeing that one finished for sure. How big are your spheres?

the first 2 are travertine onyx number 3 is rainbow obsidian number4 is a mix of chrysocolla , malichite , quartz and rhyolite , number 5 is a rhyolite conglomerate from the squigley jasper hill ,6 is a piece of obsidian from my yard 7 and 8 is the rock from McCracken mine

number 6 started as rainbow obsidian and still has a small bit of color showing but i need to figure out how much to leave or where to cut doing the preform . I have no idea yet how to really do the preforms .
