I could never figure out why this never sold. I remains one of my favorite pieces. I LOVE the dendritic dolomite. I didn't cab it. The color is perfect with copper.

Everything about this is perfect. The wrap style highlights the dendrites so well.

I don't wire wrap and am not suited to it. It requires artistry. Give me a blank piece of paper and I'm lost. I have skill in photography which involves cropping a scene. Cabs is an extension. I let others make jewelry from my work. Your wrap is an extension of the pattern. Jewelry is very personal. The only thing that would explain that it hasn't sold is that a buyer is looking for a bolder statement to wear.

When you frame up a stone for cabbing, that is an artistic endeavor. It may not be drawing or painting, but it does require some lapidary artistry.

It's quite nice. For the short time that I wire wrapped after I took the class, almost all of them went to Elizabeth to do the creative stuff with the bail and "fru-fru" wires at the top. We make a good team in that regard, and I may pick it back up someday.
