Has this ever happened to you? I bought 3 sweet slabs for cheap from a seller. I used the cart, requested total and paid. Or, I thought I paid. The next day, I got emails form eBay to pay for my items. Turns out only one was paid for. So, figuring I made a mistake, I went back to pay for the two others in my Purchase section of my account. It says I still need to pay for them. I clicked pay now and a thing pops up saying these items are not available. So, I CAN'T pay for them.
The only thing I can figure is the guy had second thoughts about selling them (or had a better offer) and yanked them. I think the timing was just right to screw things up. Now, eBay thinks I haven't paid for 2 items and I can't get my peach slabs. I can't wait to leave this guy negative feedback. BTW- Paypal says the payments are pending. (Because the items don't exist anymore.) I'm calling eBay later today.
ETA PP no longer says pending, but it says payment pending at eBay. WTH?

I had something similar happen once long ago.
Details escape me right now, but the seller had screwed up a setting or something.

I emailed the seller and he has not responded. Not sure what happened if he doesn't want to communicate. I emailed early yesterday morning.

I would call Ebay and see what the heck they say. I've never had it happen, but I haven't bought anything on Ebay in a coon's age.

I'm no help - these days I use Ebay about once every two years - but I'm very interested in the outcome here. Back in the day pulling your auction after having bids on it - or worse yet letting it conclude then pulling it - was a hanging offense for a seller.

Back in the day pulling your auction after having bids on it - or worse yet letting it conclude then pulling it - was a hanging offense for a seller. I sent him another message saying that I was calling eBay today. Miraculously, I got an immediate response this time. He's asking what he can do. I asked if the items are still available. That'll tell me a lot right there.

When I go to pay the invoice, I get all the way through paying and this comes up.

We've been emailing. I was able to pay for the items after he sent me a new invoice. I think he had to cancel those two items to do it, which will hurt him as a seller. He should have called eBay as it was his issue, not mine. I hope this doesn't hurt him too bad.

There is definitely some weirdness on ebay. I bought a slab of BMJ and paid for it. The transaction was cancelled, so I emailed the seller. He didn't cancel and had already packed the item. He had a sister slab also listed as a BIN for about double the first slab. We exchanged messages and agreed that I would use the BIN on the sister slab and he would ship both.
Another seller that I bought a Howardite slab from and used paypal. Later, I tried to buy another item and paypal was not offered as a payment option. I do ebay through chrome. I tried the transaction using edge and was able to use paypal. The reason I use chrome is that the ebay account which is shared with my wife uses her email address which is outlook using chrome. Mine is outlook using edge. This allows me to have both addresses open at the same time.

Had that happen last week on Ebay! The seller got a hold of me and said he hit a wrong button or something and he refunded my money, but to retry again. I didn't, I went to a different dealer, don't need mistakes like that while doing businesss! Hopefully you get it fixed up and in order again..

There is definitely some weirdness on ebay. I'll definitely agree with that. I recently had three listings for the sale of brand-new HP ink cartridges canceled by eBay and removed completely from the system. They claimed that they had been contacted been contacted by HP, claiming that my listings were in violation of eBay's Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) program. According to eBay, the VeRO program "offers intellectual property owner(s) a way to report listings that they believe infringe on their rights". Since when is an ink cartridge intellectual property? Once I buy it, isn't it mine to do what I want with? Oh, and HP wouldn't take them back; I tried before listing them on eBay.
Oh, and the thing that really and truly sucks about all of this, is that the ink was purchased to use on a temporary replacement printer I borrowed because my almost-$300 HP wide-format AIO printer died out-of-warranty and is too costly to repair.

I’ve had it happen recently. I just left it because in one section of ebay it said paid but I still got notifications to pay. After a week or so it resolved itself. 😅
