Okay, so it's not really particle board. This is a cab holajonathan sent me to wrap, so I'll let him correct the cab ID! LOL Jonathan sent me some half hard Argentium Silver to work some cabs of his. If you've never worked with Argentium Silver, like I had not, you're in for a surprise! It's pretty stiff material. Then, if you put a twist on the wire, it becomes sort of like working with a strand of hardened steel! LOL This wire is absolutely gorgeous in person. The twists, although making it difficult to work, catch the light from the different angles in the twist and really make it "sparkle". EDIT: I just want to clarify that Jonathan made the cab...I did the wrap.

Thank you so much Mel! Beautiful job! Nice stone, too. Thanks Tela! You've helped me SO much with this hooby...and for that I am very grateful! Wonderful pendant, Jason. Your wrapping looks great and I like your cab, too. Thanks Gary! I am absolutely in love with the Argentium Silver! It's been frustrating to work...because I wasn't prepared for how hard/stiff it is...but it's SO worth it! The cab is Jonathan's - and I agree, it's a gorgeous cab! Nice job jasoninsd ! I wonder how particle board got petrified... Works like this really inspire me to try and get better at cabbing. Thanks for posting this. Thanks Perk! I'm guessing there was an ancient Lowe's that got buried in a mud pit...and this material came from the lumber section of the store! LOL

This is so-called peanut jasper from Australia, which is apparently something like shredded up and reconstituted petrified wood. Very nice job, Jason. This is a smaller cab (for me), which means getting that stiff twisted wire so tight against the cab was especially tricky, I'm sure. But you wouldn't know it looking at the end result. This wrap is a true RTH collaboration. The material is from Peruano . Tom was slabbing it for a friend, kept a little for himself, and shared with me. I cabbed it, and Jason wrapped it. We all did good.

We all did good. Thank you my friend! I knew you'd remind me of the ID. I could have looked at your original cab post...but this was more fun! LOL I will agree...this is definitely one of your smaller cabs! LOL - It was definitely a "tighter" shape to get the wires to form (conform!)...but when I saw this one, I knew it had to be in the silver. Pretty awesome this went through so many RTH hands to get this one done! Really cool actually! You definitely did an amazing job cabbing this one. I've showed several family members the recent wraps, and this is the one they go to first! Pass it on. Rocks are forever. Right! Gorgeous material Tom! Beautiful collaboration! I love the stone and Jason wrapped it to perfection. Thanks Robin! I was really excited to wrap this one. Such a gorgeous cab deserved to be framed! Great collaboration! Kudos to all involved for creating such a wonderful end product! That is a beautiful stone, well cabbed and excellently wrapped. Thanks Brian! I didn't realize it came from Tom...so going from him, to Jonathan, to me, then back to Jonathan makes this one a well-traveled piece! LOL I see an image in your cab, Jason. Can you see it? Hey Gary! It's Jonathan's cab...so any image copyright infringement is all on HIM! LOL I'm not sure what you're seeing...but I see a walkway leading up to a building with lawn in front of it, and a huge sun just above the building...

I see what you see and that's certainly there, but it's not what I was referring to. If you look at the "huge sun" and see it as a nose, there are two eyes separated by your light's reflection. Then the "building" becomes either lips or mustache/hair and the "windows" are teeth. Not a pretty face ...

Another great collaboration piece. By the way, argentium wire does come in dead soft and I much prefer that to 1/2 hard wire.
