These are located near trouble city and I don't expect to hit 100% on completions. All completed.

Good on ya' for working material that might or might not yield an acceptable cab. I do lots of "salvage" cutting here, too. If the material is good it's worth it.
Started working on a Morgan Hill scrap myself today just to see how it would cut. I'd never worked any of it before. The areas "between the cracks" seem a lot harder and more solid than I expected after seeing so many cracky pieces here and elsewhere. The scrap I grabbed is from a slab that had already self-destructed.
Will be interested in seeing how this group you're working up turns out.

I don't like using old stock/new dig. The MHPJ I first got years ago had fractures and were shiny were it cracked. Later on, I got some that was more like what is available now. It was cheaper and thought it would be less desirable. I was wrong. The MHPJ I get now from different sources has vugs which are cavities. If the cavity goes all or most of the way through it will break. When the vug is on the top but not on the bottom which is frequent The only question is how deep and how wide the vug is when ground down. This material works fast so the time investment isn't great finding out.

I jumped the line and finished the two with vugs through the 50,000 wheel. The one on the left is almost completely gone and the one on the right is mostly gone and the vertical lines which are not vugs or fractures are more noticeable on the actual. I can sell both with disclosures.

Those came out a lot better than I thought they would. Good saves. Grinding some of those cracks down really helped.

The pictures taken on the dop tends to magnify defects. The pictures taken on the table are closer to the appearance of the actual cabs. I like to list with both. The reason these were in the later pile was they had minor defects or the pattern was just making the best of what was there rather than laying out a design. MHPJ is popular so I can sell lesser cabs. Rocks, to cabs, to money, to more rocks.
