Very nice work, gentlemen! Jason, I had to laugh when I saw these because you learn a new technique (twisted wire) from Tela and you take off with it like a madman! All of the sudden you're expanding your horizons and doing things you never did before. It's great! I love seeing you trying new things and making them work. The twisted wire over the woven bail on the second and third wrap is awesome.

Thank you my friend! They were definitely fun ones to do! Very nice work, gentlemen! Well...sometimes the artist has to put a little of themselves into their work...and SO many people have said I'm a little twisted...so it's kinda apropos! LOL

The first one looks like some pet wood we have here.
They all look fabulous.
ETA - All my metal work is still done with a cutting torch and a BIG hammer.

Those cabs wraps are sweet! There is a lot going on in the second and third bales, but I like the way it's going on.
Did my flint cab have that black spot on it, or did you draw on it with a sharpie marker? Just joking. I really don't remember that black spot in the cab, but I don't mind it, and I'm sure you didn't do it.

It does look like pet wood, Vince, even though it's actually Biggs area jasper from a dig near Wasco, Oregon. I've heard it called Wascoite or Wasco layered jasper. There are those who throw it in the Biggs Jasper sack, which is quite a large sack for some people.

Thanks Vince! LOL - I like doing that kind of metal work too! LOL Those cabs wraps are sweet! There is a lot going on in the second and third bales, but I like the way it's going on. I really don't remember that black spot in the cab, but I don't mind it, and I'm sure you didn't do it. Thank you my friend! You made me go look at that dang cab! LOL - It's under the surface, so I'm positive I didn't do it! (I even looked at it through the loupe to be sure! LOL) Look at you go!!!! Nice piece, Jason! I like the first and last best. I'll be needing to step up my game. LOL! Thanks Tela! Don't step up your game until I catch up to you! I only have another 19 years to go! LOL That last one is by far my favorite! I think the wrap accents that cab better than any of the others. I'm not saying I think the others are bad! LOL - I just think visually, that last one is the most appealing to me.

jasoninsd If it's under the surface then I'll let you off the hook. Don't assume you need 20 years of experience to get to where Tela is at with wrapping. She was already at the top of her game a decade ago. So maybe you only need 8 or 9 more years.

Thank you SO much! I've been perusing the old wire-wrapping threads...and it's been really neat to see how many collaborations there have been over the years!

LOL You might want to be careful posting all these nice wraps or you are going to end up with a long list of potential collaborators. There are a lot more of us who know how to cut a cab than those of you who know how to do something with it...
