I’m looking for someone who has been successful vibro tumbling fossil ivory. Specifically I’m looking for which media to use and how long in each stage with each media. Can anyone help me?

I think that is a Mammoth request. Sorry I don't have any fossil ivory.

I have tumbled old bison teeth ( close to being Ivory), just drop the tumbling stages down to five days, instead of seven days .. Go through all the tumbling stages too.. 60/90 120/220 600 Polish A/O

I’ve heard fossil ivory can be brittle, that it shouldn’t spend a lot of time in water, and it’s porous, so dark colored polish could stain it. I wonder if you could dry polish it in a vibe tumbler using aluminum oxide polish and dry rice, (which I’m currently using to dry polish coquina) or ground corn cob or any other media used for dry polishing. I haven’t had any real hands on experience with it but I’m sure someone on rth has and hopefully they will chime in. 🤗
