Hey guys! My girlfriend and I got a single barrel lot-O-tumbler recently and we have been having some issues with it! I’ve got a few questions About it for anyone that has time to help out. 1. What position should the counter balances be? Should they be lined up with each other? Or should the be offset by 180 degrees? 2. How hot does the motor get? It’s been running an hour or so and the motor is hot to the touch. I know electric motors get hot, I just want to check! 3. We have a lot of vibration noise coming from it. It’s not the rocks, but it sounds like it’s an on and off oscillating rattle coming from the frame or fans. I checked all the bolts and welds and they are good.
Any input would be super helpful! I can try to upload a video if that would help!
Thanks a million, Nick and Meg

Welcome to the forum.
1. Weights should be lined up together. If you view the fans as a clock face, spin the fans so both weights are at 12 o'clock. They should not be 180 degrees from each other.
2. It gets pretty hot. How hot? Can't recall. But perhaps lining up your weights correctly will help with the load.
3. Don't know if I can help you here. You checked welds and such. Did you look to see if any of the leaf springs are broken?
Good luck.

For 3, I think we need you to explain how you mounted the Lot-o.
