Yes, you read that right- I made a bracelet. I have been perusing youtube looking for knots and weaves to incorporate into my work when I found this. The teacher, Lan Anh, does videos with no speaking, but his direction is so good that you don't need it. I LOVE lots of his stuff. When I was doing tutes at JewelryLessons.com, he was a teacher there, too. (I'm almost positive that his Filipino name is male and not female, but I could be wrong- not that it matters. I just don't want to misgender him.) ETA Anh is female and she is from Vietnam. My mistake.
Give this a try- it's super easy and quick and makes a beautiful bracelet. This was only my first one, but my daughter had to have it. I'm making DH one in silver.
My daughter was here while I was pulling this out of the tumbler. She called dibs, so I handed over the steel wool and brass brush. Made her work for it. LOL!
I had to use my new to me trinket dish/ashtray/pipestand in the shot. I so am in love it. The patina is amazing.

I love Lan Ahn's channel, both for the full tutorials and the variety of individual techniques. I'd always assumed they were female by the shape of their hands. Your bracelet turned out great. Nice warm patina. The elegance of repeated patterns is so beautiful when done consistently.

That turned out spectacular Tela! I like it far better with the patina! I definitely want to try one of his bracelets...especially now!

Thanks for introducing her. I want to see more of her tutorials. Wearing a basic black dress, SHE introduced herself in English and proceeded to work her magic.
She said her first name is Lan Ahn ( or Anh) her last name is Pham.

That is the exact one that I bought. A tobacco seller had it. When I saw it, I fell in love. The patina underneath is a beautiful green.

Great job on the bracelet. I have seen her tutorials but haven't done any. Thank you! I enjoy it so much, I made several of these AND learned another braid. I made earrings from it.
Yes, her tutorials are really good.
