Steve: Looks like a fine piece of orbicular or flowering jasper to me. Matter of fact, it looks exactly like the Primrose Jasper nodules I find around my ranch in the Sierras. Should cab or tumble real well. Keep your eyes open in the area as this material forms in small lenses, veins and nodules usually in Jurassic period rocks and the piece you d found is not real smooth so you weren't far from the main deposit. I'd try diggin right below or slightly uphill from where you found the piece as that usually works for me and yields more material....Mel
