After reading Quartzilla's latest "collecting" finds, decided it was time for me to make run to my favorite collecting spot. Brought home about 550 pounds of material. Included in the load
- about 100 pounds of Tiger Eye
- about 120 t0 130 pounds of what is labeled Wyoming Jade
- 40 pounds of small tumble agate
- about 150 pounds of various Agates and Jasper
- 50 to 60 pounds of Pet. Wood, Texas mostly
- 20 pieces of what I think is very nice Gypsum fine bladed clusters, some to 6 inches across.
- 20 3" Spheres

About 4 nice size pieces of variegated Tiger Eye

The Jade is a real mystery to me, need to get educated on how to identify and how to determine quality. I do know the pieces are very dense and heavier than a comparable size agate.

There was also some Turquoise, maybe 4 to 5 pounds with the largest pieces maybe 2 to 3 inches across. This material is a real puzzle to me, maybe more so than the Jade.
I will try and post some more pictures including the Spheres which include a very nice pink Rhodonite Sphere and a nice Owhyee Jasper Sphere. I am busy getting ready for my big Gem & Mineral Show the end of Feb.
