Either it’s not working or you are tumbling in a blizzard!

🤣🤣🤣 not sure what happened. I tried to to upload a pic and don’t know what happened...but then got distracted. 🙄🤣 I’ll try to get the pic uploaded later... but anyways, I was sharing the latest on my coquina tumble. It’s definitely not an easy rock to tumble..or maybe it’s just me. Some websites say it’s supposed to be 6.5-7 on the mph scale, but I’m thinking it must be maybe a 4. I tumbled them in the rotary for only one day because it’s pretty soft and didn’t want them to completely dissolve.🤣Then I ran them in the vibe with dry rice and aluminum oxide polish for 3 days. I can see a very faint gloss at this point. I’m planning on putting them back in the vibe for a few more days of dry tumbling. I’m hoping to see more of a shine of course but imo, these rocks are just so interesting to look at with all the burgundy and gold color with the little fossils imbedded in them that I’m happy with them anyway.

My best guess is that hitting them with a bit of zam (chrom oxide) on a buff wheel would make them rise to the shine sought. It can cut fast so you don't want to work it too hard if they don't respond with a bit of work.
