I guess they call this a biscuit cut - I also know that it's the same cut that produces frog skin in the Tahoma agate material.
What do you all think? I found this material at Graveyard point - there was probably a ten foot long seam of it and the amount I saw scattered around led me to believe it was garbage as a plume agate and I didn't disagree but I grabbed a few pieces and brought it home.
This was rind-cut/biscuit-cut using my slab grabber and I'm very intrigued by how it turned out. If it was cut the traditional direction you would cut a plume agate it would be very low quality with white center and tiny plumes. The downside of cutting it this way is it has an uneven and rough backside but I can deal with that.
