OK I should have placed a warning here first.
"Don't try this mod it's unproven!"
It looks good and you would think it should work well but the rods are a very soft metal and the lateral movement will destroy them. I ran a load for a week and the rods have a lot of wear where the bearing are. So back to the plastic bearings after cleaning up the rods and back to the drawing board.
Well I came up with a solution for the plastic bearings on the model B. The 608ZZ bearing holder is printed out of PETG and I printed a modified standard plastic bearing to use as a jig to center the shaft to drill mounting holes. The shafts were just long enough to use the original clips on the shafts. It will be a bit more complicated to change the belt but it's not bad. Oh and I also found these silicon feet that almost completely kills the noise being transferred to the self.

Nicely done! It looks like it could have come that way from the factory with a design and install that clean.
