Really nice! I love this material. It is so variable. I like the purple. But, dendrites are sweet, too.

Amy Sage is one of my favorite materials! Gorgeous cabs, Jason! You gotta love it when you get a piece with the yummy grape color.

Amy Sage is one of my favorite materials! Gorgeous cabs, Jason! You gotta love it when you get a piece with the yummy grape color. Thanks Robin! The other slab I haven't touched yet has some amazing purple in it! I marked it out last night, but don't think I'll get the time to cut it for awhile... Now those are drool worthy Thanks Ali! I think the last two are my favorites out of the batch...and oddly, not teardrops! LOL

Very nice! I like the second to last the best. Great shape and composition.
The first two aren't as flashy as the others, but they have a more subtle beauty. There's so much going on in the cabs, the pitting is not distracting. Good composition on the first one. I like how the gray part in the middle dips down in a "v" form in the middle.
A small photo critique regarding the third to last photo: your camera overexposed it a little bit. In other words, the photo is a little too bright, which causes the colors to look washed out. I can tell this by comparing the black background and supporting slab with the photo above it. Your photos are almost always spot on, so I wanted to point out the one instance in which I think the camera auto-exposure settings might have gotten confused. This happens to me all the time. I usually catch it, but not always.

Thank you brother! Now I have another rock to add to my list, lol. Beautiful as always. Thanks Bry! LOL - That's what always happens to me when someone posts a cool material...I go "looking" immediately! LOL Can't decide if I like 3 or 4 better. Very Nice!! Thank you so much! Of those two, I think I like 3 a little better. That one shows the tri-color pretty well, and it's filled with dendrites! All that liquidy goodness. Those are some beautifully wet cabs. Well done. Thanks Toad! Wet you say? Well, every single one of them got a "spit" shine! LOL Very nice! I like the second to last the best. Great shape and composition. I usually catch it, but not always. Thanks you my friend! I actually did try to centralize the "V" on that first one...and the second one, I tried for that diagonal banding of the colors. Thanks for the catch on the overexposure. I usually try to catch it when it does that. The black "color" is the easiest way to detect it when I'm flipping through the pics on my phone. Didn't catch it this time. I noticed in the other thread I created yesterday one of the pics is out of focus. Didn't even catch that! Sheesh...I'm going to have to go back to remedial pic taking 101! LOL

As for the overexposure issue... the black background is what does it. The color black, by definition, absorbs rather than reflects light. A camera sensor captures reflected light, so when there's a lot of black in the frame, the camera gets confused and thinks you are in a low-light situation. It tries to compensate by brightening the whole image.
The opposite happens if you've got a bright white background. The camera things the background is too bright, and will dim the whole photo. You've obviously got this issue under control for the most part, since this is the first time I've noticed it. I only pointed it out because I know the purple in that cab looks better in person.
