I finished most of what I am sending holajonathan in exchange for some slabs. Here are a few of them. One more to go. Should have that one done in a few days. I should have wiped the stones first. I see lots of fingerprints on his very glossy cabs.
Montana agate. I used black coated copper binding wire. I think it really worked. Argentium (which I still don't like using- not the same as regular sterling)
Imperial jasper- this is so well polished that it kept slipping out when I was working it. It popped out onto the floor several times. I had to tape it in to work on it! Argentium w/patina
A perfectly framed, gorgeous MT agate. I hoped this would work and I think it does. I didn't want to detract from the stone. Argentium w/ patina
A BEAUTIFUL dechutes. This is antiqued copper with 14k rose gold accents. I love how it looks together!
Rhyolite. Beautiful cab, no? The yellow 14gf sparkle beads are just the right touch, I think. Argentium
Thanks for looking.

I'm sorry that my cabs are so highly polished that they jump out of your wraps. What you (graciously) failed to mention is that my imperial jasper cab has a "creatively" shaped dome, which no doubt contributed to its frog-like behavior. The first and the last are my favorites. I am going to have a hard time giving any of these away, but I might let my wife borrow them on occasion.

I was using soft argentium, which I vow to never do again. LOL! The second wrap with half hard was just springy enough to really catapult that cab! It was like squeezing a watermelon seed. Every time I went to close the top and prepare to finish it, it popped out! Only after taping it in could I finish it. Talk about slick!
Your dome seemed perfectly fine to me.
I think you'd look hot sporting that rhyolite. LOL!

rockjunquieWhen I get them back, I will post a photo of me modeling the rhyolite cab. Something like this: On second though, maybe I'll gift the rhyolite to my wife. But the others are reasonably unisex.

Tela, these wraps are SO amazingly professional! I really like what you did with each of these!
The black coated copper wire on that first one is flat out stunning! A perfect choice to go with on that wrap!
I love how beautiful your tabs are! There are no stress marks on any of your tabs...I've noticed that on all of your tabs I've seen lately.
What a perfect color tone match on that Deschutes!
Love those sparkle beads on the Rhyolite! That one might take best of show...but all the rest are a close second...oh hell...they're all tied for first place! LOL

I really like #1 & #3 the best but between the two it is hard to decide my favorite. Nice work!

Your wraps are beautiful. Are those scratches on the second Montana or just light reflection?

Your wraps are beautiful. Are those scratches on the second Montana or just light reflection? Thank you! Absolutely no. Jonathan did a fabulous job on these. It was my dumb self that smudged them with fingerprints.

That's what I aimed for.

These are fabulous! My favorites are the second MT and the Deschutes. The color of the wires match that Deschutes so well that it makes them almost invisible!

You are an exceptional designer, Tela. You really know how to show off cabs with your wire work.

They are all magnificent, can't choose a favorite. That first Montana is so elegant, and also looks like a Rorschach test
