So the Condor Agate was sold as a cabochon for me to wrap. She had only seen the stone and wanted me to wrap it I have no idea yet if she's going to like the wrap, or if I'm going to have to tear it apart and start all over for her. So I thought I'd post a pic in case she doesn't like it! LOL The RIJ came from holajonathan and the "bails" at the bottom came from Tela. I know this won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I actually kinda like it. It's the first "dangling" things I've put on a wrap. The first picture is closer to the actual color, and the second pictures shows it hanging. Edit - I forgot to add the Mexican Royal Velvet Obsidian wrap in silver filled. Thanks for taking a gander!

Whoever "she" is will love that Condor -- if not, you can send it to me. I have to admit, that I'm not a fan of "dangling things", but if I pretend I can't see them, I like it! And of course, the Velvet Obsidian is killer!

Those are some outstanding cabs! Way to keep the production line going! I turn out cabs pretty slowly, I'm ashamed to say I haven't even filled a display case yet...

And of course, the Velvet Obsidian is killer! Thanks Robin! "She" is a friend of my mom. She came over with my mom one day and went through all the wraps I've done and a lot of the cabs. I had just finished this one a day or two before. UPDATE on the Condor: I received a text from "her" in which she said, "Don't touch a thing!" LOL - So...that tells me she likes it! I get it about the dangly things...I know it isn't for everyone...but I'm hoping someone will eventually want it. LOL That Obsidian is for my sister, since she's the one who's supplied me with all the Velvet Obsidian! She wanted a "simple" wrap... Those are some outstanding cabs! Way to keep the production line going! I turn out cabs pretty slowly, I'm ashamed to say I haven't even filled a display case yet... Thanks Perk! It hadn't really "felt" like a production line...until you mentioned it! LOL

The velvet is amazing. You've really picked obsidian up quickly! Thanks Ali! When I first worked obsidian, it was on the flat lap...and couldn't work it to save my life! Oddly, I was working it only a couple weeks after getting the new cabbing machine. Of course, I had over 200 cabs made in those first two weeks...so the wheels were broken in pretty good! LOL

It does do better on worn wheels. I personally love dry burnishing

Well, I fall off the radar for a day and you storm the internet! You've been BUSY!
I love the first one. I like how you turned the lock wires in. They look very fluid. The RIJ is fine. The dangles are not really working for me, but the rest of it is. Good way to use the bails.

Thanks Tela! I really like that inward turn on the lock wires. I'd like to find more opportunities to use that. I freakin' laughed at the "fine" comment on the RIJ...because I totally agree...or lean more towards "probably not"! LOL - I had to think of a way to use those bails...other than bails. The dangles are "iffy" for me. Good thing I know how to cut a wrap off and add it to the scrap pile! LOL
