Wasn't able to fine tune it the way I wanted. 2 Sous Chefs quit last night so it was built with as little to be done as possible since I got called in cover shifts. 5/8" rods covered in rubber hose to bring it around 7/8". 1/10hp blower motor 1 1/2" pulley on the motor 5.45" pulley on the drive rod Motor was spinning 3 15lb barrels. The 2 black barrels are around 27lbs each, the other barrel was filled with just rocks, around 17-20lb range.

You have some skills, sir. 2 suggestions, as time and materials allow. Larger drive pulleys give more contact surface at the drive motor, less slippage and longer belt life. As much as possible I never use pulleys under 3 inches. Also, with heavy barrels I put a set of equal size pulleys on the south end of the base to drive both rollers. The pallet board base is perfect, plenty strong and easy to move.

Perfect motor too. I have a lot of trouble finding fractional motors below quarter HP, and hate to consume electricity I don't need to do the job.

I never thought of slippage at the motor pulley. I'm getting a little bounce on the rods. From outside mounting flange to outside mounting flange is 11 1/2". Thinking of bringing it in to 11". My 6lb and 9lb barrels fit but fall in between the rollers just enough to touch the polish the boards.
The motor runs HOT! Got a small fan on it. The motor is almost as old as I am but hasn't been used in 33 +/- years. Hot dust has a certain flavor, lol.
Using it now to identify things that could be tightened up to make it better. Hoping moving the rods closer will alleviate some of the bounce. Will probably add something to support the center of the rods from the bottom.
Thank you for the input! Much appreciated.

The truck mount was $18,000 lol, the pallet & motor was free, $125ish for everything else.

Thanks, I haven't even started tinkering with it yet. Trying to keep from over doing it but got a couple things I do want to improve on.

Hey & it's on wheels so you can take it everywhere you go . So do you have a generator in the truck or an inverter ??
