Very cool cabs! That sure is some unusual Leopardskin. The first cab looks almost like Birds Eye Rhyolite to me.

That "birds eye" section in the middle left there on that first one was SOFT and undercut horribly bad on the initial grind! I had to grind that whole piece to a low dome to compensate for that section...then work it very carefully. On that third cab, I cut "through" one of the lines that run through the rough...and it gave that extended crazy orange line. It was a lucky cut! LOL

I have to add that the last shield shape cab is my favorite of the bunch. Love the orbs in that one.

I wanted some pieces that was all orbs and no lines. The thing I'm finding out about this material is the red stuff in this material is the same (or it acts like it!) that's in Crazy Lace. It's very soft, likes to undercut, and bleeds like it's a stuck pig when you cut or grind it. LOL Maybe someone with the geological knowledge can chime in about what this red material is in both Leopard Skin Jasper and Crazy Lace Agate...

Beautiful! That's some nice leopardskin. I think the first one is my favorite. It does look like bird's eye rhyolite a bit.

I've got a bunch of this material...I'll have to set aside a piece or two if you want. I think #2 and #3 are my favorites out of this batch. The colors in the second one makes it look "patina'd" to me (in a sense)...and then I really like that orange splash in that third one...

I love leopard skin Jasper. Different cuts can make for awesome slabs. I am learning some areas need more tlc than others.
Cabs look awesome! Nice work.

It really does allow for some pretty cool variety when cutting this material! And yes...I'm quickly learning about the "TLC" areas! LOL

Poor man's OJ? I'd call those rich man's leopard skin jasper! It's better than most I've seen in terms of colors, solidness, and polish. Is that the stuff your sister sent you? The last two are both really nice, but #3 takes the gold for me because of the colors and the flame patter on the bottom right.

Three decent sized pieces. One I had to split just to get it in the 10" saw! Yeah...that 3rd one is really cool with that pattern on the bottom right. I'm probably going to work some more of this sooner rather than later. LOL
