Here's some obsidian my sister sent me...Mexican Royal Velvet and Rainbow supposedly.

There's a lot more in that strainer than the picture indicates...and I still have more to cut. The wind was howling and it was cloudy and cool. Every time the sun went behind the clouds, I couldn't see the angle to cut so I would have to take a break until that cloud cleared. LOL

I might get some of these cut into preforms at some point this week. I've got some other material I need to get on the trim saw. I might be running low my preforms pile! (NOT! LOL)

I was pretty stoked about being able to capture the color as well as I did today. It was a pain trying to time the first cut with the spotty sunshine! LOL

I can't take credit for the color...but I can take credit for cutting these the right way to show it! LOL - That's not meant to sound prideful or arrogant. This stuff is a bear sometimes to get the angle right. I did miss a couple times on the first cut, but thankfully I was able to correct the angle and didn't lose too much material in the correction.
