I sure do love your plume agates. That first one just about knocked my socks off. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing! Thank you for sharing all your rocks with us. I'll probably never see most of these types in person.

Rockjunquie, I'm sure the plume agates are still there but probably not much on the surface if the ranches were open for collection by clubs or special visitors. I got to hunt some but got very lucky when I met a college professor in San Angelo, Texas that had a friend that lived on one of the ranches and was allowed to rock hunt on all of them. Most of the rough rock came from what he found on multiple ranches.

In the right place, at the right time, with the right friend, and most importantly with the correct attitude and drive. You have wonderful material and present it well.

Thanks, Peruano. The positive unexpected seems to happen from time to time in our lives, and as you said I enjoy the hobby. I taught science and art in San Angelo, Texas, and was bringing in material I had collected for part of the earth science discussion when a student said a church member and Angelo State Spanish Professor also collected in the Alpine/Marfa area and also Mexico. She(professor) retired shortly after I met her. When she moved from San Angelo I traveled on the weekend to see what she had in material. I purchased lace that she had dug and the Alpine/Marfa material that is shown.
