OK, jasoninsd asked about my bandsaw, so here it is in all it's glory.
It's a 9" Craftsman Bandsaw, which we chose, as it's mostly made from Aluminum & takes a standard 62" diamond blade. We set it up elevated by a wood base in a plastic tub, with a drain fitting that we hooked up to some tubing that drains into a bucket.
It has a loc-line drip fitting that's fed from an overhead coolant container.
It works for cutting preforms from 1/4" or less slabs, but doesn't have the power to cut anything big, for that I use my 10" MK rock saw. But that's another restoration subject.
It's certainly nice to preform slabs so you lose very little rock, and with an 1/8" blade , it will cut a pretty small curve.
That's my show and tell, Patty

That's awesome! Great thinking on that one. The execution was perfect as well.

I don't know about perfect, but it works & it was cheap a couple of years ago when we bought it.
i could wish the blade was cheaper , but diamonds are never cheap
But when you think about it, it probably pays for itself in less waste of slabs.
Patty... needing to preform more this week on her bandsaw
