After posting a thread on the Creations, Intarsia board I had several requests to increase the size of the pictures. I have been going through the threads Tommy has developed to help folks post photos. On Cloudinary I found the page where you can set the pixel size, but even when I set these up to 2000 and save the edit there is no change in the size of the pictures in my post. Anyone have a solution?

When you're typing your thread out (or a reply) look at the bottom of the box you're typing your post in. There's a "BBCode" tab down on the bottom left - next to the "Preview" tab which you would be in regularly.
Click on the BBCode tab - look for your image address which will something like this:
img style="max-width:100%;" src="https://res.cloudinary.com/drqxosbjp/image/upload/v1648422656/u1lwbg4on6yr4ijvqd5d.jpg" alt=""
Where it says max-width:100%, try changing that percentage to 200% and see if that will work to increase your picture size. It works when I want to downsize from 100% down to 60%.

What is the original size of your pictures before you upload them? If they are large, see the post Tommy did recently regarding the Cloudinary settings here 4th page. Make sure when you are in the Edit Transformation screen that you change the mode to scale (that's what Tommy uses and so do we). Hope that helps!

I followed all of this, including changing the mode to scale, but no joy. I’ll keep trying…

Anyone have a solution? Hi, I have to admit this one had me scratching my head for a minute. With v.5 of the Proboards forum software, in response to many many complaints about huge photos breaking the layout of the forum, they installed a limiter on the viewing size. Any large photo posted is automatically displayed smaller so that the layout breakage does not occur. The photo you are posting might be 2000 pixels wide but the forum is not going to show it that way. In the forum settings shown below, I have two choices - I can set the forum to display the photos so they fit the page, or display the full size photo with scroll bars which people hated if I remember right. As a side note, this is a completely different situation from Cloudinary's incoming transformations which actually resizes the photo permanently on their server before serving it back in the post.

Anyone have a solution? I am wondering if you will need to re-upload the original picture to Cloudinary with the new settings. I'm guessing Cloudinary does not go back and change all the photos that had previously been uploaded if you change settings. Does that make sense?

Always wondered why the default is only 50% or such... see below. - A box of motor oil?!.. sry I'm not responsible for the subject material. fyi Tommy

Changing the BBC code does not have any effect. initially, this pic looked bigger, but I guess it is actually the same size.

mgretsYou can also resize pics in the reply box by previewing the pic and then clicking on it. You will see the little white nodes appear and then you can click and drag them to resize your picture. I usually click on the upper or lower right corner and drag it diagonally to maintain the height and width ratio.

I tried this multiple times but nothing happens when I click on the pic - no white nodes and I can't drag the edge of the picture.

Success! I don't really know what changed. I just went into Cloudinary, cleared all my choices and started over. I think I did exactly the same things, because I was following Tommy 's instructions, but something worked. Thanks to all for your help! Mark
