Have fun with this thread and show off your jewelry making command center, from which beautiful creations emerge. Everything from "bomb went off chic" to "annoyingly clean" lets see it all.
For a project I'm working on, I am in search of a photo (or photos) of jewelry making spaces, desks, workshops, etc. that come across as very 'experienced' ie: stuffed with tools and doo-dads specific to making jewelry out of rocks without, being overly specific to any particular method. For the project, somewhere in the middle between organized and out of control is the sweet spot I'm looking for.
Show us what you got!

Okay...here's mine. I've commandeered the kitchen table since we always eat dinner on TV trays in front of the TV. I know...classy, right?! LOL

Makes me wonder now how many folks even have an actual devoted desk/workshop for wire wrapping or metalsmithing. What little wire wrapping I did was all done sitting at my computer desk with my feet up on my bed.

Being new to the page I don't think I can post images, but for right now that's a good thing because my entire studio is totally TRASHED! I swear you could call me the "messy metalsmith", I can't wait for warm weather cuz I'm gonna empty the room out & put it all back organized!

I always sit at the kitchen table when I'm wrapping something. My bench(es) look like a cylcone hit them!

Well, here it is. After a few years, all the benches have the same look.
I was about to hit the "Create Post" button a minute ago. Suddenly became conscious of my mortality. But she ok'd the photo... .

Yeah, Tommy, the "family/game room" addition done in the '80s is one of the main reasons we bought this old house. We were lucky to find it.

My bench is in what most people would call the " spare bedroom".
We call it the activity room. My husband & I share it at this point.
But soon to change , as we're presently building a separate shop for him. :-)

My husband has a small machine shop (presently quite crowded in that same room) . We both like to work with metal.
He likes to restore machinery & fix ours when needed.
As I mentioned, we're currently building him a 10' X 18' room under our house (we have a stilt house) to make his new shoppe.
I was supposed to stain the outside of the new room today & somehow it went from the forecast of sunny & 20% rain in the late afternoon to 60% all day rain.
Guess that's not happening today !
The best part of the deal is that I get the whole spare bedroom when it's done, so I can almost say I will actually have a "studio".
