Hi Matt @blockhead
If you’re happy with the blade that came with the saw, I would replace it with the same. I see HiTech offers a thick sintered blade for $78 in 10”. That is probably their best blade. The kerf might be a little thicker but the quality of sintered tools means it will outlast electroplated blades.
As far as how long they should last, all I can say is it depends. The blade service life will be affected by what you are cutting, whether you are slabbing or trimming, how good you are at pushing the stone straight into the blade, how often you dress the blade and probably several other factors I’m not thinking of. I’ve got an 8” sintered blade that I use on the trim saw attachment for my CabKing. It has slabbed several pounds of hard Botswana agates and Lakers. It still has a lot of life left in it too.
Hope that helps.

Blade life depends on use. Inpatient manual feed eats blades faster than auto feed. I use a generic Mk303 blade on my trim saw and go through a lot of blades. My 10 inch saw uses a similar blade and lasted a long time. On my 14 inch saw (16 using a 14 blade) the mK301 sintered lasted longer than a mk303.
