Still can’t get over how unique this material turned out. Never would’ve guessed it when I was out collecting it. Perfect work on it.

Hot diggity dog! That is some amazing material. I love how the black dendrites spring from the red. Wow!

It looks like a Chinese painting with little trees on top Cool :-) Thanks Patty! I can see the "painting" your talking about! Thanks Diane! It's a soft enough stone where I could start the initial grind on the 220 hard. I think the 80 would have cut through it like a hot knife through butter. Not that it's TOO soft... Hot diggity dog! That is some amazing material. I love how the black dendrites spring from the red. Wow! Thanks Tela!! Yeah...the dendrites are kinda like icing on the cake!

Thanks Adrian! I'm definitely really ecstatic about how these turned out. Thanks Robin!! Do you ever remember seeing a material that "frosted" in certain parts of the lace like this?? I believe I have but I can't remember what the material was now. Well...if you're anything like me, you'll remember when you're nowhere near a computer...and then when you get back to a computer you'll have forgotten again! LOL

Wowser that is an interesting material. Love the way the dendritic looking structures grow out of the top of the flames. Very different from anything I've seen before.

I almost tagged you on this thread just to ask...but you popped in and answered my question with regards to familiarity! I've got some other material sitting in the wings waiting for a new saw blade to show up. That one I am going go tag you in to see if you recognize the questionable (with regards to ID) material...
