cute little house! I see that being outdoors along a walkway (several of them... instead of those moon rays). Is that the only one you have?

Those who live in agate houses should not tumble stones

thanks everyone, glad you like them! the big lamp is made of india agate (dark redish) brazilian (clear,-yellow-bluish) and montana moss (green) the house is brazilian , roof is pet wood, and santa holder is jasper the barn is red jasper with a little agate for the doors and on part of the roof I usually sit down and draw out the house ,building or what ever on paper or cardboard ,then build a wood frame so all the sides will end up the same width or height. once that is all done cutting the slabs, wrapping an soldering and fitting them next to each other averages out to @1 hour each (with coffee and breaks ) soooo , like the side of the barn prob took a good 8 hour day and the end of it was a day and a half--I have a room in my big barn for rocks so it is nice to be able to start and leave everything out and come back the next day or later and start again --I usually only work on these as spare time allows -- couple hours at a time--unless I really get motivated and want to finish something

Those are awesome, my dad took a look at those last night and said "we need to get your saw up and going". Thanks for inspiring him. Tami

Kim -thanks, but, I am still just a grasshopper as I don't think that I've ever had two batches of slabs come out the same, or houses, or lamps, or anything else --If you saw the piles of pieces that I have you would understand--I've never joined any of the clubs or taken any lessons--have went to some rock shows and club meetings but have never found anyone who does this, altho, I have found a couple of ads or articles on people who do--mine is--try this ,if it works fine --if it doesn't then put it in the box with thr rest of the little pieces--hehe---do you need some small pieces?
