JD- Congrats on the Bots. They sure look cool. In the future, if you want to order some more, try this guy www.superagates.com I just ordered 5 lbs for $17 and $7 for shipping. Don't know if it's the best deal you can get, but some people (I think it was Hammer) recommended him and so far I'm satisfied. I hope I didn't upset you and I'm not saying "ha" I got a better deal. I just wanted to point you to another resource for the future. Heck I haven't even seen the rough yet. I'll let you know when I get them and how they look. When are you gonna start tumbling them? Hope you're not backlogged like I am. I'll probably have to wait a few months before I can get to mine. gaetz

I'm gonna cut them and shape them up before I tumble them so it dose not take sooo long Definitely do this! I bought a pile, must be about last March, and I still haven't got them out of coarse grind. Obviously I haven't been going at them steady, they get alternated with a bunch of other stuff, but I think their actual time in the tumbler is 7 weeks now, and less than half have shaped up. And that's after going at them for countless hours with a dremel tool before tumbling them. The problem is the surface pits and divots -- just like with lake superior agates -- takes forever to grind those out, particularly since Bots are so hard. I think the end result is going to be worth it, but if you have the equipment to pre-shape them (like Bikerrandy did), then you will be very happy you did.

jdennis - Hey, where did you get those?
Didn't think there were any left in the western world after bikerrandy. Must be newly mined, still warm from the pit.

Didn't think there were any left in the western world after bikerrandy. The things that I miss when I read these the first time around I think that I left two or three pounds for you guys to fight over. ;D
