This is the first load in my Lot-O.
Tumbler is mounted to a 60lb pier block.
Using 2 tbsp 120-220 and no other ingredients.
Mix of rock sizes. Rocks were previously smoothed in rotary.
~25% ceramic media, mix of large and small.
Initially had good movement. Checked after ~18 hours and movement was minimal. Larger rocks floating to top. Smaller rocks and media are rarely seen.
I added a few squirts of water and waited to see if action improved. Not much improvement. Repeat water/wait a few times and now I have probably added too much water.
If you would please watch my video I would appreciate any input on what I can do better.

Looks like a good slurry and movement. You may have some stalls stuck at the bottom. Sometimes I’ll get “mud” at the bottom. I use a plastic tent stake to stir it up and get it remixed.
Try pulling your bucket out, flipping it upside down and let the water drain between your fingers. Give it a few shakes to loosen up anything possibly stuck in the bottom and see if that helps.
Take the barrel out, turn it upside down and shake it.it happens sometimes. Definitely got a good slurry. Plus I think your set-up is way to clean😎. Little stones settle to the bottom when it gets thick. Don’t stress, it looks good.

Thanks for the ideas! I never did get it moving consistently. After 24 hours I did a clean out and most of the rocks looked good but a few were pitted which is a bummer. I moved the good rocks on to 500 AO. I added some extra ceramic media but I didn't fill it up quite as much as last time.

I have been doing some experimenting. I pushed down with all my weight on the concrete block and the tumbling action immediately improved. Removed weight and it bogged down again. This is repeatable. Lot-O is mounted with the original double sided tape to a painted upside down 60lb concrete pier block. The floor is vinyl plank over concrete slab with no padding.

I set the pier block and tumbler on two 12x12 concrete stepping stones and the rocks are moving awesome. There is way less vibration and noise as well. Something about the harmonics of the pier block alone didn't work. I was planning to construction adhesive all of the blocks together but it doesn't seem necessary.

I'm a Lot-O owner (of 6 weeks now) and I've had the same concerns as many others about the 'movement' after 10 to 12 hours of running. Constantly checking the barrel and wondering if the contents require attention. Add a spritz to two of water or leave it alone? But after seeing this post a few days ago, I moved my Lot-O block off of a thin rubber mat and directly to the concrete basement floor. What a differences it's made in the last 3 days! My other thought was to 'adjust' the dowel and see if I could make an improvement but I'm glad that I left it alone.
Thanks for sharing your experience fourfourmag
