Just wanted to share some cabs I finished up recently. First up Is a crazy lace cab that I originally started working on back in my dremeling days. Nothing special, tho i like the shape of it. Next is some sodalite. Again, nothing special but I like the shape lol. This one is Millefiori glass. I cut this one to replace a lost pendant of my daughter's. I had originally planned to submit it for April's cab contest but there are a whole bunch of pinholes throughout the material that made me decide otherwise. This one is Ocean Jasper. Originally cut the preform back in my dremel days but didn't work it bc the material was full of fractures. Stumbled upon it recently and noticed a really cool scene in it so decided to finish it. I see farmland with a freshly plowed field in foreground and partly cloudy blue sky on horizon. Wonder if fencejumper's art resin method would work to hide some of the fractures... Speaking of fencejumper, this is Indo fossil coral(i think) that was generously gifted to me by him. (Thank you again!) Pls excuse the dust on bottom of cab. Next up is some unknown material. Really like the contrast in colors. Shape is bit wonky on the upper right side due to a small vug that opened up right along girdle line. Last one up is yet another one I started back in my dremel days but never completed for some reason. This one is definitely my favorite of the bunch. I thought it could have fit the cab contest "springtime" theme as I see a snowmelt stream cascading down a rocky mountainside. Well that's all for now . Hope you enjoyed them and thanks for taking a gander!

Beautiful cabs! I really like the Ocean Jasper. The scene in it is amazing. The fractures in it really don't detract from it, but I would try the resin anyway just to see what the difference would be. The last cab is so cool! I love it.

Super fantastic batch of cabs - each and every one!! I love that Millefiori Glass color combination!! I like that you can make out the hexagonal patterning around the flowers. I just picked up two chunks of Millefiori Glass and I was surprised at the "pinholes" that run throughout the material. The OJ scene is absolutely recognizable as the plowed field! Very pretty on that that one! That Coral is gorgeous material!! That unknown gold and white moss has some intense depth to the piece!! What's not to love about Namibian Pietersite!! I can definitely make out the cascading waterfall in that one!

The ocean jasper plowed field is spectacular . Hell, the earth has fractures- makes it more realistic :-)

I thought about using the oj in cab contest but wasnt sure how distracting the fractures would be for others as well as the shape of cab and orientation of the scene don't exactly match up. I'm gonna have to give the art resin a try and see how goes.

Tho, I've gotten 5 or 6 diff color slices of it and this green seems to have the most by far. Usually not really noticeable imo. Fortunately, It's fun stuff to work and daughter doesn't mind the holes lol .
