Just a cool photo Took me forever to get them all in the right position to flash. I didn't find or shape them, they're all bought. Non-flash picture for comparison.

Pink/purple labradorite is a bit rare, and pricey. I've seen some pieces about the same size as mine go for $30-$40. I saw this piece for $10 and bought it immediately.

Very nice. Usually the Finnish material, Spectrolite, has those purple/pink colors. It's pretty rare to see it in the Madagascar material, although it does happen. Finnish Spectrolite

Nice. Some that I purchased from The Rock Shed had lots of purples and pinks. The colors did not show until after tumbling.

Finnish SpectroliteLabradorite from Madagascar also has purples and pinks. The difference between the two locales is that labradorite had a gray host rock color whereas the Finnish Spectrolite is a black host rock and will display more of an oil slick look with the colors.

I used the obsidian recipe mostly. It is on this forum somewhere.

Very cool! They look awesome! I got 3 rocks I think are labradorite in a batch of tumbling mix. I took then and the softer specimens out while I tumbled the harder stuff. Not sure what to do with them?
