Look at what our family has been doing the last couple of days. We made our own skating rink in our backyard. All you do is lay a piece of plastic down and water it frequently. and i got new skates on friday Dec,9,05 Rainey

Hi Rainey, That looks like so much fun, it's been many years since I went ice skating but I used to skate every night when I was a kid. Looks like you all are having a good ol' time.

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun It must be really cold out where you are. If I did that in my yard at this time of year, it would be all slushy

That looks like a lot of fun for you guys! You are very resilient Rainey. If I fell 6 times (OUCH!) I'd need to be in bed for a week!!

Rainey
Ice is nice but when I fall down I'd rather land on warm sand.
Fine looking family. Hope Santa treats them well.

Hey Rainey, I think that's wonderful! My dad used to do that for us when I was a boy as well. Back then nobody wore a helmet and I think maybe I fell on my head one too many times. You should get yourself a hockey stick as well. Girls can play hockey too! Ron

rainey, that looks like so much fun. our weather isn't cold enough for us to make our own ice skating rink but if it should get cold enough we now have a new idea to try! thanks for sharing this.

Glad to see you all having fun!
As for our little backyard pond, we have to keep it from freezing. We have 10 or so good sized goldfish that we leave out there all year round & need to keep the water moving in order for them to survive. We use to bring them inside for the winter until they got too big. The pond isn't big enuff for skating anyways.
